CURRENT STATUS: Irregular Operations Expected
On Wednesday, November 5, 2025 US Secretary of Transportation, Sean Duffy, announced a 10% thinning of airline schedules at 40 high volume markets to maintain safety. On Thursday, November 6, 2025, the FAA released an Emergency Order outlining a tiered reduction in service to these airports. The Emergency order requires the following reductions:
4% by 6am on November 7, 2025
6% by 6am on November 11, 2025
8% by 6am on November 13, 2025
10% by 6am on November 14, 2025
While PWM is not on the list, 97% of our flights operate to or from 15 markets on the list. We anticipate a significant number of delays and potential cancellations on our flights and a significant number of cancellations throughout the national airspace system tied to this initiative. Customers are encouraged to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. Flights on or after Friday, November 7, 2025 are likely to be impacted through the end of the government shutdown.
Each airline is formulating their own plan to accommodate this Emergency Order. Below are links to current information from each of our airlines.
