PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland International Jetport today announced that Airports Council International’s Airport Service Quality (ASQ) program has recognized the Jetport as the winner of three awards in a global benchmarking survey. The Jetport was recognized for the following three awards based on surveys conducted in 2025.

Best Airport in North America: 2-5 Million Passengers
Best Airport: Most Dedicated Staff in North America
Best Airport: Easiest Airport Journey in North America

Airport Service Quality (ASQ) is the only global benchmarking program that measures passenger satisfaction from travellers while they are at the airport, when their experiences are live , providing the most accurate and timely picture of the passenger experience at each step of the journey. Passengers are randomly selected at departure gates using a scientifically designed sampling methodology, with surveys collected across all operating hours, days, and months.

In 2025, nearly 707,000 passengers were surveyed worldwide, in real time. Over 400 Airports around the world participated in the survey.

It is rewarding to see them receive recognition for their dedication and creating the easiest airport journey in North America” he continued.

The Jetport has won multiple ASQ awards since the terminal expansion in 2012. Survey results are reviewed frequently to focus investment in the customer experience. Recent improvements made as a result of the surveys include providing free baggage carts, adding 10 toilets to the concourse, adding an adult changing station, incentivizing quicker baggage delivery times.
