PORTLAND, Maine - The Portland International Jetport announced this morning that United Airlines is significantly expanding its route options from the Jetport this summer adding six new non-stop destinations. The new destinations are Cincinnati, Columbus (OH), Cleveland, Indianapolis, Milwaukee, and Pittsburgh. These six new destinations are in addition to the four non-stop destinations already served by United, Chicago, Denver, New York/Newark, Washington Dulles. The new flights start May 27, 2021.

Additionally United announced that the weekend Denver service is being expanded to Daily service starting June 4, 2021.

With ten non-stop destinations out of Portland, United will now offer the most non-stop destinations of any carrier at the Jetport.

“This is a transformational moment for the Jetport, and for the Portland market,” said Paul Bradbury, Airport Director. “Given the pandemic and the real shift to leisure traffic, United is focusing on providing convenient non-stop options from several key markets in the midwest that historically would have connected through a hub. We thank United for this opportunity, and for their continued commitment to Portland and the State of Maine as a destination” he continued.

"With many customers now beginning to plan summer vacations in places where they can enjoy time outside, we look forward to offering new service to Portland, Maine. United will have the most flights to Portland of any carrier."
